EVENSTAR

Our first in-orbit demonstration. Launch July 2027 on SpaceX Transporter.

Launch

Vehicle

SpaceX Transporter

Payload

TAILWIND

Type

In-orbit demonstration

MISSION

A small payload with a big job.

EVENSTAR is our first trip to orbit. It is a compact demonstrator carrying the same heart as TAILWIND: the same thrusters, the same electronics, and the same fluid system, with a new form factor. It has been shrunk down, but nothing is left out.

We are building propulsion to be delivered in volume, not one at a time. Before operators trust us with their fleets, we want every major part of our system to have proven itself in space.

OBJECTIVE

Prove what we can't test on the ground.

The lab tells us the hardware works. EVENSTAR shows the whole journey works: building it on time, shipping, fuelling at the launch site, riding to orbit and firing on command. It is the first time North Propulsion designs, delivers and operates a propulsion system, end-to-end. A key step in proving reliability at each step of the process for future customers.

“I've seen a lot of companies at this stage, and the quality of testing here is on another level. It's the kind of effort you'd normally see at a much larger company. The dedication of this team to making repeatable products is rare, and what made me excited to come on board.”
NIELS BUUS, FORMER CEO OF GOMSPACE, CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD AT NORTH PROPULSION
